The VGM Checklist for Contractors (VCO) arose from a growing awareness that a good relationship (interaction) between client and contractor (hereafter referred to as contractor) is of great importance for the proper functioning of the safety management system of VCA-certified contractors and the safe execution of work.

The VCO is there for clients who want to create the right conditions for VCA-certified contractors, who carry out high-risk work for them or on their premises, to achieve optimum HSE performance. The VCO sets requirements and gives substance to the leadership that the client should show in this situation. This allows you to work very efficiently with your contractor. The starting point is that, as a VCO-certified company, you have a HSE management system that at least meets the requirements of VCA.
