Only certificates issued by recognised centres are valid for obtaining the VCA certificate. Valid certificates bear the SCC logo, the mention 'Basic Safety SCC' or 'Safety for Operational Managers SCC' and the name of the centre with the mention 'recognised by the TC-K of the non-profit organisation BeSaCC-VCA d.d.'. All other attestations, diplomas or certificates have no value in the context of SCC. However, everyone is free to organise training courses. If one wants to conclude the training with an examination to provide the successful candidates with a valid SCC diploma, one should cooperate with a recognised examination centre.
In order to ensure the quality of the SCC examination, we must inform you that the following examples of diplomas/attestations/passes are known to us to be INVALID:
- Certificates marked "SCC 1" or "SCC 2";
- "PROVEX, ISO 17024, DTQV, BeSaCC-SCC-SCT-VCA";
- "CaSE-ROC - C.H. den Ouden" (if after 2005) (for both B-VCA and Risky Tasks);

Diplomas awarded in Germany are VALID for activities in Belgium if the following is stated:
- The SCC logo, as well as for Basic Safety SCC "dock. 018": this is a guarantee of independent examination through a recognised examination centre (entry "dock. 016" is not valid for activities in Belgium);
- The SCC logo, as well as for VOL-VCA "dock. 017" : this is a guarantee of independent examination through a recognised examination centre.
